site.btaTen Voting Machines to Be Used to Certify Voting Devices Meet Election Code Requirements

Ten voting machines will be used to certify that the voting devices comply with the requirements of the Election Code, the Ministry of e-Governance said in a response to a letter from the Central Election Commission (CEC) presented during a meeting of the commission on Friday.

Seven machines will be given to the Ministry of Electronic Governance, and three to the Bulgarian Institute of Metrology.

The number of machines is in line with the current practice and the needs of the two institutions.

In connection with a report of defective devices from previous elections, the Ministry recommends that the voting machines be maintained. During the meeting, it was made known that such preventive maintenance was included in the subject of the procurement for the provision of the voting machines.
