Bulgaria's Bilyana Dudova lost 3:7 to Ukraine's Iryna Koliadenko and will await a possible repechage in the women's 62kg category at the Paris Olympics.
Dudova won the first point from Koliadenko's passivity, and the first part ended with a minimal lead for the Bulgarian athlete. However, Koliadenko started strongly after the 30-second break, made a grapple and knocked Dudova down on her back, which is awarded four points in freestyle.
Earlier, Dudova made a successful Olympic debut with a win in the eighth-finals. The Oslo 2021 world champion and four-time European champion prevailed by 8:3 points over Sweden's Sara Johanna Lindborg.
The Bulgarian led 3:0 after the first set, but in the second the Swede reduced it to 2:3 in the last minute. 15 seconds before the end Lindborg tried an attack, but Dudova defended and countered with a grab for 4 points, securing the victory.
