site.btaEnergy Minister to Pay Working Visit to US

Energy Minister Vladimir Malinov will be on a working visit to the US between September 30 and October 2, the Energy Ministry said on Sunday. 

The Bulgarian Energy Minister will hold talks with the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources, as well as representatives of the Department of Energy. His agenda also includes meetings with the leadership of Exim Bank, the U.S. Export-Import Bank, the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), and other financial institutions.

Malinov will also hold talks with the management of the US nuclear energy company Westinghouse, and with Southern Nuclear - a leader among nuclear power operators in the US.

In early September, the caretaker Energy Minister participated in two energy forums in Thessaloniki, Greece.
