Bulgaria will host the Balkan Snooker Championship for a third season in a row. As in 2023 and 2024, the tournament will take place at the National Snooker Academy in Sofia's Vasil Levski Stadium.

The championship is scheduled for 12–14 December and is expected to attract a record number of players from across neighbouring countries. The prize fund stands at EUR 3,000, the Bulgarian Snooker Federation announced.

Matches will be played under top conditions, with high-quality tables and brand-new cloths.

The National Snooker Academy hosted the Balkan Championship for the first time on 25 November 2023, when Bulgaria’s leading break-builder Viktor Iliev won the debut edition. On 10 November 2024, Bratislav Krastev claimed the second title. Both Krastev and Iliev are leading coaches at the Academy, combining group and individual training for children, teenagers and players of all ages.

The Balkan Championship is the strongest international tournament organised by the Bulgarian Snooker Federation. The event is also held under the auspices of Sofia Municipality. Its president, Oleg Velinov, has initiated the idea of establishing a Balkan Snooker Federation in the future.
