A major feature film project about the life and career of legendary Bulgarian footballer Hristo Stoitchkov was presented at MINASofia, Sofia’s first immersive space, on Thursday.
The film, directed by Martin Makariev, is scheduled to premiere in late 2027. The creative team includes actor Alexander Sano and Vladimir Pamukov, a long-time sports reporter and author of "Hristo Stoichkov. Autobiography."
The film promises to go beyond the public image of Stoitchkov, revealing the most dramatic, personal, and defining moments of the man who became an icon and a source of pride for Bulgaria.
