Bulgarian swimmer Tsanko Tsankov won three gold medals at the Winter Swimming World Cup in Gdynia, Poland.

The Bulgarian athlete reached the final on Saturday in the 1,000 m and on Sunday left no chance to the competition in the 200 m and 45 0m freestyle.

In the third heat of the 450 m, Tsankov triumphed with a time of 5:36.06 minutes.

For his achievement the Bulgarian swimmer was awarded the best swimmer of the men's World Cup. 

"I am extremely happy and proud of the three gold medals. I trained a lot and came prepared. My goal was to do well and I think I managed to make all Bulgarians happy with the three awards and the Best Swimmer award at the World Cup. This is a great honour for me and for Bulgarian swimming. Thank you to everyone who supported me in the last years", Tsanko Tsankov said.
