Elvira Krasnobaeva became champion and Eva Brezalieva won silver in the women's all-around at the first Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup of the season in Athens.
Krasnobaeva made her official World Cup debut and with 131.100 points (35.300 hoop, 30.250 ball, 33.300 clubs and 32.250 ribbon) took the title.
The other Bulgarian Eva Brezalieva also performed very well in both competition days and came second with 130.350 points (34.000 hoop, 32.900 ball, 33.350 clubs and 30.100 ribbon).
Alina Harnasko (neutral individual athlete) finished third with a total of 125.000 points.
Later on Saturday, Bulgaria's ensemble finished fifth in the all-around.
Magdalina Minevska, Sofia Ivanova, Kamelia Petrova, Rachel Stoyanov and Margarita Vasileva showed their composition with two balls and three bars. They made mistakes in both routines and with a total score of 62.250 (32.200 on five hoops and 30.050 on three ribbons and two balls) placed fifth in the all-around standings at the first World Cup of the season.
Israel took the gold with a score of 68.100. The silver medal went to the Chinese representatives with a total of 66.400 points and the bronze went to Italy with 65.850.
The Bulgarians will take part in one of the two finals on Sunday. With 30.050 points (difficulty 16.500; artistry 7.100; execution 6.750) and the fifth highest score, the women's ensemble will play for the medals on three bars and two balls.
