An exhibition of oil paintings "The Pulse of Beauty" by Bulgarian artist Grigor Malinov will be open to visitors in Chicago at the Bulgarica Cultural Center, the institution said on its Facebook page.

The opening reception is scheduled for September 7 at 7:30 pm.

"In my art, I combine classical and modern principles and methods of oil painting, believing that each technique is a path to creating valuable art. I look for no other way of expression than the stretched white canvas, which for me is an endless field of creativity," says artist Grigor Malinov, quoted by Bulgarica.

He strives to master different techniques to give his paintings both a surface impact and deeper complexity.

"I strive to master different techniques to give my paintings both surface impact and deeper complexity. I leave the viewers the freedom to choose the level at which to perceive my works. I am inspired by the beautiful side of the world – the human body, the light on a woman's shoulder, a flowering tree, a piece of interesting fabric, a sunset, or even the simple everyday objects that hold perfect inspiration if you can "see" it," adds the artist.

He says the goal of his work has always been to create a personal language of expression that resonates with viewers, leaving a lasting impression and a sense of spiritual enrichment, according to the organizers of the event.
