Deputy Tourism Minister Pavlin Petrov inaugurated the two-day discussion forum titled "Brand Bulgaria – Year-Round Hospitality with Focus on Health, Business, and Entertainment Tourism" at the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) in Sofia on Thursday.
The event is held under the auspices of the university's rector, Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov, and marks the 35th anniversary of the Economics of Tourism Department at UNWE.
"Bulgaria faces many tasks in the tourism sector, including introducing more innovations, developing new technologies, and presenting the country in a fresh way through marketing and advertising to reach a broader audience," Petrov noted.
He highlighted that Bulgaria is experiencing growth not only in coastal and maritime, and winter tourism but also in cultural and spa tourism. Petrov also emphasized the importance of encouraging businesses to adopt new technologies and invest in the education, training, and professional development of those employed in the industry.
