site.btaState Budget Bill to Be Discussed by Parliamentary Budget Committee on January 7

The draft budgets of the State, of the State Social Security and of the National Health Insurance Fund for the next year will be discussed at a meeting of the parliamentary Budget and Finance Committee on January 7, it transpires from the schedule of committee meetings published on the National Assembly's website. 

The Budget Committee's agenda includes changes to tax laws and a hearing of caretaker Finance Minister Lyudmila Petkova. 

The 2025 State Budget Bill with a deficit target of 3% was published on the Finance Ministry's website on December 9. The bill, submitted by the caretaker Cabinet, includes a number of measures both in the revenue and expenditure part in order to keep the deficit level below the required threshold for eurozone membership.
