The State will continue to function normally even without Parliament passing a budget or passing an extension bill, it is stated in a conclusion of an analysis of the Institute for Market Economics.

The report notes that at the moment it is almost certain that MPs will not adopt the budget submitted by the caretaker government in time - the major parties are highly critical of the proposed framework and it seems they will choose a tactic to delay the consideration of the package of budget bills as much as possible. At the same time, the caretaker finance minister is unwilling to withdraw the proposed framework of state finances and has no intention of tabling a so-called "extension bill" - a similar practice at the end of 2021 and 2022, economists add.
