Bulgaria is looking for new business opportunities on the German tourism market in a series of strategic events in Germany between November 11 and 14, supported by the Tourism Ministry in Sofia. The roadshow has stops in four major cities: Frankfurt am Main, Leipzig, Hannover and Dusseldorf, the ministry said on Tuesday.
The initiative is aimed to deepen relations between Bulgarian and German tour operators, hotel owners and tourism executives. Each event involves one-on-one discussions which allow the participants to share ideas and make proposals about building new partnerships and strengthening cooperation.
The roadshow is part of a Tourism Ministry strategy to promote Bulgaria as a preferred travel destination among Germans. It builds on successful international initiatives which have been implemented in Poland, Germany, Israel and the United Kingdom since late 2022. The Germany roadshow is in line with the national tourism advertising programme for 2024, which is intended to boost strategic partnerships and popularize Bulgaria travel.
The Tourism Ministry supports the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast Initiative of German financial services company Allianz, which is in keeping with its own priorities of promoting Bulgaria as a preferred travel destination and establishing lasting business relations with international partners. The current roadshow is expected to considerably expand tourist contacts and increase interest in Bulgaria among German tourists.
