Sofia will host a Bulgarian-Israeli business forum, it transpired during a meeting between caretaker Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov and Israel's Ambassador to Bulgaria Yoram Elron, the Ministry reported on Thursday. Stoyanov's visit to Israel in March contributed to intensifying the dialogue between the two countries, and one of the topics was the organization of more events with both Bulgarian and Israeli companies.
Stoyanov said that innovation and high technology are areas with great potential for joint cooperation between the two countries. He briefed the Israeli Ambassador on the progress of the project to build a state-owned cow farm, which will be operated by the dairy company LB Bulgaricum.
Stoyanov and Elron discussed opportunities for exchange of experience and initiation of business missions from both countries to implement more joint projects. It was noted that Bulgarian exports to Israel increased by nearly 36% in 2022.
In mid-March, during Stoyanov's visit to Israel, it was reported that the two countries are exploring the launch of knowledge exchange and joint production activities in the defence industry.
