During the final concert of the 50th edition of the Winter Musical Evenings – Prof. Ivan Spasov International Festival, Jin Baek conducted the Pazardzhik Symphony Orchestra and guest soloist Desislava Cholakova (violin), who performed works by Aram Khachaturian and Felix Mendelssohn.
In a BTA interview, Maestro Baek praised the warmth of Bulgarian people. He noted that he travels to many places and mostly meets people who just focus on the work, but the positive attitude of the people he met in Pazardzhik, went beyond that and was very important to him.
In the conversation, Baek also said that he is very happy with each of the musicians he has worked with, both as individuals and as a group of people who work together. He gave high praise to the Pazardzhik Symphony Orchestra.
Jin Baek is the artistic director of the Busan Maru International Music Festival, the Daegu Symphony Orchestra, the Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra and the Busan Festival Orchestra, reported the Pazardzhik Municipality, organizer of the Winter Musical Evenings – Prof. Ivan Spasov International Festival. He has conducted most of the prestigious orchestras in Korea, and has also worked with orchestras in many countries in Asia, Europe, South and North America. He holds scientific degrees from universities in Korea, New York, Harford and Russia. Jin Baek currently works as a professor of conducting at Dongseo University, the Municipality also stated.
