Interviewed by BTA, conductor Jin Baek said he travels to many places and often sees simply work. He usually meets people who come to do their job, but in Pazardzhik it was different - there was a very warm and kind attitude from the people.
Jin Baek conducted the Pazardzhik Symphony Orchestra and guest soloist Desislava Cholakova (violin) in a performance of works by Aram Khachaturian and Felix Mendelssohn in the final concert of the Winter Musical Evenings – Prof. Ivan Spasov International Festival on Sunday. The festival is organized by Pazardzhik Municipality.
The Korean conductor said the warm reception in Pazardzhik was very important to him. He was very happy with each and every musician he worked with, both as individuals and as a group working together. He praised the Pazardzhik Symphony Orchestra, giving high marks to its musicians.
Jin Baek is Artistic Director of Busan Festival Orchestra since 1996, and Artistic Director and Executive Chairman of the Busan Festival Orchestra. He has conducted most of the prestigious orchestras in the Republic of Korea and has worked with orchestras across Asia, Europe, South and North America. He is currently conducting professor at Dongseo University Graduate School.
