Minister of Agriculture and Food Georgi Tahov will open the international food exhibitions "Meatmania", "Dairy Expo Sofia", "Bulpek", "Interfood & Drink" and "Wine & Spirits Show", which start Wednesday and will continue until November 16 at the Inter Expo Centre in Sofia, the press centre of the Ministry of Agriculture said.
The opening ceremony will start at 2 pm and will be attended by Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry Dr. David Sukalinski, Ambassador of Italy Giuseppina Zarra, Ambassador of the USA Kenneth Merten, Ambassador of Japan Hisashi Michigami, Executive Director of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA) Svetlozar Patarinski, Chairman of the Board of the National Branch Union of Bakers and Confectioners Mariana Kukusheva, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Meat Processors in Bulgaria Atanas Urjanov, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Dairy Processors Dimitar Zorov, Chairman of the Board of the Union of Fruit and Vegetable Processors Stoyko Kirovski and Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian Industrial Association Dobri Mitrev.
This year the format, which brings together the entire food and drink sector, includes over 500 exhibitors from three continents - Europe, North America and Asia.
In the halls of Inter Expo Centre, products, innovations, software, ideas and visions will be presented by the teams of companies from Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Turkiye, Greece, USA, Japan, Vietnam and others. There will also be large-scale collective participations.
The exhibitions will be accompanied by over 25 events, which take visitors to a picturesque urban environment with street food culture, coffee, ice cream and chocolate delights.
