site.btaPetya Deneva Exhibition to Be Displayed at Little Bird Place Gallery

Artist Petya Deneva and curator Stanislava Nikolova will present the exhibition "Grounding" at Little Bird Place Gallery in Sofia on May 15. It will be on display until May 31, the organizers said on Thursday. 

"The author tries to open new horizons to Earth by making us look at our surroundings from a different angle," Nikolova said.

She notes that the exhibit includes 11 paintings, the clay sculpture "Ship" and ink prints of plants created during Deneva's stay at the Little Bird Artist Residency in the village of Leshten.

Deneva was born in 1981 in Balchik. In 2006 she graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts, majoring in painting. She lives and works in Sofia as a freelance artist. Since 2010 she is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists. The main themes of her work are nature, light and mystical manifestations of the spiritual.
