site.btaSofia Science Festival Kicks Off

Over 120 scientists from Bulgaria and ten other countries will participate in the 14th Sofia Science Festival, which is taking place on May 9-12 in Sofia Tech Park, the Beautiful Science Foundation said.

Invitations to the opening ceremony have been sent to Minister of Education and Science Galin Tsokov, Mayor of Sofia Vassil Terziev, and the Executive Director of Sofia Tech Park Todor Mladenov. 

The Sofia Science Festival will be held for the fourteenth time in a row to introduce curious minds to the latest innovations and discoveries of recognized experts on topics such as health, technology, space, science, and art.

Sofia Tech Park will host meetings with scientists, exhibitions, workshops and demonstrations, an exclusive festival bookstore, a premiere screening of a film from Poland. The audience will see scholars from Bulgaria, Austria, Belgium, Spain, China, Portugal, Turkiye, Ukraine, Hungary, France, and the USA, the release said.

The festival is organized by the Beautiful Science Foundation and is open to all who share a curiosity about the achievements that drive humanity forward and influence the quality and way of life. The content is presented in accessible and understandable language to enrich perceptions of current topics in science and broaden the horizons of the lay public. The event is held under the patronage and national partnership of the Ministry of Education and Science. It is part of Sofia Municipality's calendar of cultural events.
