site.btaContemporary Artist Ivan Kyuranov to Present His Latest Artworks in Sofia

Artist Ivan Kyuranov will be showcasing his latest artworks in an exhibition titled Beauty at Sofia’s Vivacom Art Hall gallery from May 9 to 25, the gallery said.

"Ivan Kyuranov will present his latest works from the Pen-Up series, including contemporary photography and graphic techniques, acrylic paintings from the Beauty series, and unexhibited paintings he has been working on in recent years," the organizers noted. The exhibition features different approaches and mixed media.

Kyuranov lives and works in Sofia. As a contemporary artist, he employs the mediums of painting and photography. He graduated in painting from the N. Pavlovich Higher Institute of Fine Art in Sofia in 1994 and went on to study modern art at the Brera Academy in Milan. In 2010–2015, he completed a PhD at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia on the role of photography in the formation of innovative trends in contemporary Bulgarian art.
