site.bta179 Kg of Cocaine Found Hidden in Bulgarian-Registered Truck in France

A total of 179 kilograms of cocaine were discovered hidden in a secret compartment inside the fuel tank of a Bulgarian-registered truck during a French police operation on October 10. The drugs were not intended for distribution in France, Chief Commissioner Boyan Raev, Director of the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime (GDCOC), said at a news briefing on Thursday.

Chief Commissioner Raev added that three Bulgarian nationals have been arrested and convicted abroad in connection with the case. He noted that, in addition to the 179 kilograms of cocaine, the same criminal group has been linked to the seizure of 370 kilograms of marijuana and 16 kilograms of amphetamine in other European countries.
