The leader of the Vazrazhdane party, Kostadin Kostadinov, predicts a shift in political reality with the second vote of no-confidence against the government. Speaking to the press on his way into the debate, he said, "This vote will outline a new political reality in this country."
The motion was submitted April 10 by the group of MECh with support from Vazrazhdane and Velichie. It is the second no-confidence motion against the Government. The first was over its foreign policy and was defeated on April 3.
He said that Democracy, Rights and Freedoms (DRF) can no longer serve as a disguise for BSP - United Left and There Is Such a people and that it is now clear that they are acting as "a crutch both for GERB and for [Delyan] Peevski". He said the DRF decision to pull out their support for the government has shown that "Peevski is not in the government: he owns it".
He also slammed Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) for supporting the government by refusing to back the no-confidence motion.
CC-DB have said that they would not join efforts to topple the government now as convergence reports on Bulgaria's bid to join the eurozone are due.
Speaking about GERB leader Boyko Borissov, he called him "Peevski's junior partner".
