site.btaCentral Election Commission Declares Election of Ivan Ivanov of MECh and Stanislav Anastasov of MRF-New Beginning as MPs

Meeting on Friday, Bulgaria's Central Election Commission (CEC) declared Ivan Ivanov of MECh and Stanislav Anastasov of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms - New Beginning (MRF-New Beginning) elected to the 51st National Assembly.

Ivanov took the legislative seat which belonged to Iliyan Iliev, who earlier in the day relinquished his election which was declared by CEC on Thursday based on a Constitutional Court decision of the same day.

Anastasov regained entry to Parliament after earlier on Friday the legislature accepted the resignation of Taner Emin of the MRF-New Beginning. Anastasov was one of 16 MPs whose election was outlawed by the Constitutional Court on Thursday. He is Deputy Chair of the MRF Party led by Delyan Peevski and has so far been deputy floor leader of the MRF-New Beginning parliamentary group.
