site.btaCivic Initiative Holds Protest Against Euro in Front of Parliament

Representatives of the Buditeli civic initiative are protesting in front of Parliament against the adoption of the euro on Wednesday.

With placards reading "We don't want the euro", "People's Court for the Constitutional Court", "The voice of the people is the voice of God" and chants "Resign", "Bulgarians, heroes" they gathered in front of the building of Parliament this morning. 

The protesters want a national referendum to preserve the Bulgarian lev.

There is increased police presence and gendarmerie units in the area.
