The Council of Ministers amended Wednesday the regulations on the structure, activities and organization of the Centre for the Educational Integration of Children and Students from Ethnic Minorities (CSOIDUEM) so a National Focal Point can be set up to support and coordinate the work of the eight youth centres in the country.
This will be the main methodological, information and training unit coordinating the activities of the youth centres in the country established under programmes funded by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area, the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and other financial instruments.
The National Focal Centre will provide methodological support and training to develop the potential of the staff in the youth centres. Exchange of experience, ideas and good practices between the centres, including with other organisations in the field of youth activities in the country and abroad, is planned. Research projects in the field of youth activities will be organized and implemented and partnerships will be established with businesses, educational institutions, local authorities and non-profit legal entities.
Currently, 8 youth centres are functioning in the cities of Dobrich, Vratsa, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, Gabrovo, Burgas, Montana and Pernik, with 18 more planned to be built under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
