MP Daniel Alexandrov of GERB-UDF has waived his immunity in connection with a request from Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov. This was announced by National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova at the beginning of the plenary sitting Wednesday.

On February 18, a request was received from Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov for permission to instigate criminal prosecution against two MPs - Daniel Alexandrov from GERB-UDF and Dimitar Avramov from MRF - New Beginning, Kiselova said.

She pointed out that she had informed the two MPs of the requests by letters. On Wednesday morning, Daniel Alexandrov informed Parliament in writing that he is waiving his own immunity as an MP, Kiselova said.
