National Assembly Chairperson Nataliya Kiselova would support a bill banning vapes for under-18-year olds. BTA asked her to comment on GERB-UDF's bills on a complete ban on vapes and energy drinks for under-18-year olds.
"Smoking is a serious problem in Bulgarian society, and alternatives to tobacco cigarettes are bad for health," said Kiselova. The discussion on restricting use or even a ban is a serious matter because it affects many children under 18, and a full ban can be considered, she added.
According to Kiselova, it does not matter who proposes a bill if it aims to preserve children's health.
On Friday, Kiselova attended the marking of the 112th anniversary of the Battle of Bulair in the town of Samokov. In 1913, the Bulgarian 7th Rila Division, though outnumbered, repelled an Ottoman attack at Bulair in what was then the Ottoman Empire.
