Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov met with Muhsin Senturk, Chief Public Prosecutor of the Turkish Court of Cassation, in Ankara. This was their first meeting after Senturk took office in 2024, the Bulgarian prosecution service said in a press release on Thursday.  

Sarafov noted the high level of trust between the two countries' prosecution services, and invited his counterpart to visit Bulgaria.

Within the visit to Ankara of Sarafov and the delegation led by him, meetings were held with Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc and Supreme Court of Appeals President Omer Kerkez. The sides discussed cooperation in criminal law and matters of mutual interest.

On the Bulgarian delegation were Deputy Prosecutor General Vanya Stefanova, Sofia City Prosecution Office administrative head Iliana Kirilova, and deputy city prosecutors Bozhidara Ganeva and Marina Nenkova.
