Flotilla Admiral (Ret) Prof. Boyan Mednikarov and Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Argentina Stoyan Mihaylov paid an official visit to the Training and Enlistment Command of the Argentine Navy, said the Bulgarian Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy. 

Mednikarov and Mihaylov met with the Navy's National Director for training and education, Rear Admiral Juan Carlos Romay. In the course of the meeting, the gratitude of the Bulgarian side was expressed for the many years of support provided by the Argentine Navy to the Bulgarian Antarctic expeditions and the Bulgarian Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii military research vessel. 

Particular attention was paid to the positives of the inclusion of officers from the Argentine Navy in the voyages of the Bulgarian ship, the provision of hydrometeorological data and logistical support in Argentine ports.

They also discussed the possibilities for deepening cooperation in the field of naval education, especially in the area of modern technologies, as well as the possible inclusion of Argentina in the NATO DEEP programme. The possibility of a working visit of representatives of the Argentine Navy Command to the Republic of Bulgaria was also commented.
