site.btaPaintings of Angel Pachamanov to Be Exhibited in Sofia July 9-30

Paintings of Angel Pachamanov will be exhibited in the gallery of the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) in Sofia from July 9 to 30, the UBA said Wednesday. Under the motto "Horizons", the artist brings together about 60 paintings, many of which taken especially for the exhibition from private owners to whom he has access, including from abroad. 

Pachamanov began his career as a monumentalist, with numerous projects. But as circumstances changed, the collaboration between architects and artists waned. "Painting won," says the artist. 

Angel Pachamanov was born in Galabovo in 1944. He has lived and worked in Plovdiv (South Central Bulgaria) since 1969. In 1964, he graduated from the High School of Arts in Sofia and in 1976, from the Art Academy in Sofia in monumental arts under Prof. Mito Ganovski. From 1981 to 1985, he was a teacher at the High School of Arts in Plovdiv.  

He has numerous works in various techniques and materials: fresco, sgraffito, mosaics, stained glass, tapestry, sculpture of concrete, metal and wood, applied graphics, spatial layout, design. He has had over 40 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad. His paintings are owned by galleries and private collections in Bulgaria, Switzerland, France, USA, Italy, Canada, Spain, Germany, Austria, Turkiye, Greece, and Portugal.
