site.btaBulgaria-Vietnam Business Forum for Economic Cooperation to Be Held in Sofia

A Bulgaria-Vietnam business forum for economic cooperation will be held on Thursday at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) in Sofia. The forum is organized by the BCCI and the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the occasion of 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Bulgaria, and aims to strengthen economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

There are opportunities for cooperation between Bulgarian and Vietnamese businesses in the fields of industry, high-tech agriculture, medicine, energy, pharmaceuticals, innovation, tourism, etc, the BCCI said. 

Vietnam is an important trade partner of Bulgaria in Southeast Asia. According to the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy and Industry, the bilateral trade has been growing in recent years, but there still is untapped potential. 

The programme includes a welcome speech by a representative of the presidential institution and an address by Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet. The forum is also expected to be attended by representatives of 10 companies from Vietnam with expressed interest in developing relations with Bulgarian partners.
