There is a potential for cuts in the state administration, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Innovation and Growth Tomislav Donchev told journalists in Plovdiv on Thursday in connection with the adoption of the state budget for 2025. “There are reserves here. I am not talking only about staff cuts, but also about maintenance costs," Donchev said.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that, if possible, the costs that reach the citizens should not be increased. "All costs that reach the people and the business cannot be the subject of discussion, they must be preserved," Donchev stressed.
He added that a budget should be presented in two weeks. "We will look for additional reserves in revenues without increasing taxes, which rather means all those who owe taxes to pay them," Tomislav Donchev said. He also mentioned the war against the grey economy, which, in his words, is one third of the Bulgarian economy.
