Flights between Varna and Abu Dhabi will begin from March 31, the concessionaire of Varna Airport, Fraport Twin Star Airport Management AD, said on Thursday.

Such a direct line is being opened for the first time in the history of Varna Airport. The flights will be operated by Wizz Air three times a week. The new year-round Varna - Abu Dhabi line was already presented at a meeting with the business community in the presence of Abdulrahman Ahmed Aljaber, UAE Ambassador to Bulgaria.

Fraport Twin Star Airport Management CEO Frank Quante pointed out that this opens up new opportunities for the tourism sector on the Black Sea coast and that the key to success lies in better advertising of Bulgaria as a tourist destination in the United Arab Emirates.

Wizz Air will operate 12 routes to and from Varna in 2025, including flights to Berlin Brandenburg, Frankfurt Hahn, London Luton, London Gatwick, Charleroi, Eindhoven and Tel Aviv.
