The Bulgaria United for One Goal (BOEC) civic movement has requested through six institutions that the Constitutional Court be seized with a request to annul the result of the October 27 parliamentary election, lawyer Metodi Lalov told BTA on Monday.

He pointed out that the organization had filed complaints with the National Assembly, the President, the Council of Ministers, the Supreme Court of Cassation and the Supreme Administrative Court, as well as the acting Prosecutor General, and that BOEC's request is backed by MPs.

"If the six institutions refuse to move forward with our complaint, it means they are abdicating their powers," Lalov argued.

BOEC's arguments include a failure to provide video surveillance everywhere during the counting of ballots, corrections in protocols and wrong reporting of results.

The Electoral Code makes it difficult for citizens to contest election results, Lalov said.
