Special Police Operation against Vote-buying Carried Out in Razgrad

A special police operation against vote-buying is conducted on Friday on the territory of the Razgrad Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry (RRDIM). Properties, motor vehicles, premises where there is suspected activity in violation of electoral legislation are being checked. Police forces from different structures and gendarmerie officers are involved, RRDIM said.

Also subject to checks are commercial establishments, pawnshops, junkyards and other places where there are indications that criminal activity or activity related to administrative offences may be taking place. In parallel, checkpoints have been set up at which full control of passing vehicles is carried out. There are three checkpoints on the territory of Razgrad, three on the territory of the nearby towns of Isperih, five in Kubrat and two in Loznitsa. 

The operation is aimed at counteracting crime, preserving public order and ensuring police presence in vulnerable areas and neighborhoods on the territory served by the Razgrad police.
