site.btaBG-ALERT Warning System to Be Tested across Bulgaria on Thursday

Functional tests of the early warning and notification system BG-ALERT will be conducted across the country on Thursday between 1 and 1:30 p.m., the Interior Ministry said in a press release on Wednesday. Every mobile phone in Bulgaria should receive a text message in Bulgarian and English.

The one-time receipt of the message on mobile devices is expected to be accompanied by a specific sound and vibration.

Text messages from BG-Alert can be managed from the mobile device's settings.
