Georgi Georgiev, who is Vazrazhdane's top-of-the-list candidate in Haskovo has three priorities for the region that guide his political activities: economic development, improvement of infrastructure and social policy, the party's election headquarters said on Tuesday.

Raising incomes and fighting the demographic crisis is Georgiev's first priority. He stressed the importance of increasing the incomes of the region's residents as a means of tackling the demographic crisis.

Improving road infrastructure is the second key aspect of Georgiev's programme. The poor state of the region's roads limits the development of and access to small settlements. "The Haskovo-Plovdiv, Harmanli-Topolovgrad and Ivaylovgrad-Madjarovo roads are in a terrible state, having not been renovated for more than 15 years," he noted.

His third priority is social policy and improving access to services for people with disabilities.
