site.btaDefence Ministry Discusses Acquisition, Assembly of Stryker Combat Vehicles with US Side

The first coordination meeting with the participation of all entities involved in the contract for the acquisition of Stryker combat vehicles for the needs of the Armed Forces was held under the leadership of caretaker Minister of Defence Atanas Zapryanov, the Defence Ministry reported on Thursday. Participating representatives from the Bulgarian and US sides addressed matters related to the final assembly of the machines.

This was the first of a series of meetings to be conducted between the two countries' representatives. The participants expressed their satisfaction with what has been achieved so far and with the format of the meeting, which allows for timely discussion of issues and proposals related to the implementation of the project.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Defence Adelina Nikolova, Chief of Defence Admiral Emil Eftimov and TEREM Holding Executive Director Kalin Dimitrov.
