During a meeting with party supporters livestreamed on Facebook here on Tuesday, GERB leader Boyko Borissov advocated for proportional-majoritarian electoral system in Bulgaria, as the that was already in effect in 2009. Borissov believes that such a system would boost the electorate's willingness to exercise their right to vote and would attract more "personalities" to run for office.

Another proposal of GERB's leader to incentivize voting is to introduce a voting system similar to the one in Greece that would grant bonus MPs to whichever party wins the elections.

Borissov called for a "gentleman's agreement" to be reached between the parties, who, according to him, must start considering with whom they can and cannot coalesce. He added: "If GERB comes first, do we have a guarantee that the second will support it and vice versa; if we come second, will we support the first?"

Commenting on Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) co-leader Atanas Atanasov statement that CC-DB is running in elections in order to seek majorities that would stop that formation of caretaker governments, Borissov said that GERB is doing the same. He then alleged that CC-DB may find it impossible to find a partner with whom to form a coalition.
