Sunny. Light to moderate easterly-southeasterly wind in Eastern Bulgaria. Highs: 32C to 37C, around 32C in Sofia. 

The coast: Sunny. Light to moderate northeasterly wind, southeasterly in the afternoon. Highs: 29C to 31C. Sea water temperature: 27C to 28C. 

The mountains: Sunny. Slight southeasterly wind, northwesterly in the higher parts. Highs: 26C at 1,200 metres, around 18C at 2,000 metres.

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has issued a code yellow alert for dangerously hot weather across 11 regions for August 1. The warning is in force for the Pleven Region and parts of the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Veliko Tarnovo, Ruse, Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Haskovo and Stara Zagora.
