The Bulgarian Orthodox Church put out a statement Friday in which it blasts the upcoming Sofia Pride this coming Saturday. "On the day we remember our dead, we will witness again a public display of sin and its endorsement as a way of life," the statement says.

On Saturday, the Orthodox Church observes All Souls' Day when people remember their loved ones who are no longer living. 

"We stand against the attempts to endorse sin as the normal and a value in the Bulgarian society," the statement goes.

The Bulgarian Orthodox Church has been consistent in issuing statements against the Sofia Pride back in the years.
