site.btaParliament Accepts Hristo Ivanov's Resignation as MP

Bulgaria’s National Assembly accepted the resignation of Hristo Ivanov as MP of the Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) parliamentary group on Friday.

Ivanov tendered his resignation on June 19, the day of the 50th National Assembly's inaugural sitting, after CC-DB lost nearly half of its supporters at the June 9 elections for national and European Parliament.

The resignation was unanimously accepted by 225 votes following a dispute in the plenary hall.
