On June 19, newly elected Bulgarian MEP from There Is such a People (TISP), Ivaylo Valchev, was accepted into the European Conservatives and Reformists Group (ECR) in the European Parliament, the press centre of the party said on Wednesday. Valchev was unanimously accepted by all members of the group at its weekly meeting.

With this, TISP becomes part of the most significant national-conservative group in the European Parliament, which will be an unavoidable factor in the upcoming mandate of the European Parliament, the announcement said.

The group's co-chairman, Nicola Procaccini, from Italy's ruling Brothers of Italy party, welcomed Valchev and wished him success. A number of ECR group members expressed their satisfaction that Bulgaria will continue to have its representative in ECR.
