site.btaPresident Radev to Receive Caretaker PM-designate Glavchev

President Rumen Radev will receive the caretaker prime minister-designate at the President's Administration at 2 p.m. on Saturday in order to assign him to propose a caretaker cabinet lineup, the head of State's Press Secretariat said.

On Friday, Radev selected Bulgarian National Audit Office (BNAO) President Dimitar Glavchev as caretaker prime minister-designate pursuant to Article 99 (5) of the Constitution.

Following the amendments to the Constitution, the head of State may choose the caretaker Prime Minister from among the Parliament Chair, the Governor or one of three Deputy Governors of the Bulgarian National Bank, the President or one of two Deputy Presidents of the National Audit Office and the Ombudsman or his/her deputy.

The President Thursday held meetings with the Chair of the 49th National Assembly, Rosen Zhelyazkov, Bulgarian National Bank Governor Dimitar Radev and BNAO President Dimitar Glavchev. On Friday, Radev met with Ombudsman Diana Kovacheva, BNB Deputy Governors Petar Chobanov, Radoslav Milenkov and Andrey Gyurov, and BNAO Vice-Presidents Toshko Todorov and Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva.
