The Government adopted a decision amending the Crime Prevention Strategy (2021-2030), the main objective of which is to establish a national framework for building a comprehensive and sustainable normative and institutional basis for the successful implementation of a coherent state policy in this area. The change specifies the requirement that the annual action plans prepared by the National Crime Prevention Council for the Strategy are submitted to the Council of Ministers for adoption by the Minister of the Interior, in his capacity as Chairman of the Council.

The proposed changes harmonize terminology and reflect changes in legislation, such as the establishment of the Commission for Combating Corruption and the Commission for Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Assets.

The proposed changes will have no impact on the state budget.
