The Council of Ministers decided on Wednesday to withdraw the consent given to Mitko Solakov, a Bulgarian citizen, to perform the functions of Honorary Consular Official of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Bulgaria, based in the town of Blagoevgrad, and to open a consulate of Kazakhstan in Bulgaria, headed by an honorary consular official, with headquarters in Blagoevgrad and with a consular district covering the territory of the districts of Vidin, Montana, Sofia, Pernik, Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Vratsa, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, and Smolyan.

By its decision, the government gave its consent to Rashko Dinkov, a Bulgarian citizen, to perform the functions of Honorary Consular Officer of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Bulgaria, with headquarters in the town of Blagoevgrad.

Rashko Dinkov is the head of companies related to the design, construction and operation of hydropower facilities, production and sale of electricity, organization and construction of buildings, facilities and technical infrastructure, etc. As an Honorary Consular Official, Dinkov is expected to work actively to maintain and further develop the excellent bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Kazakhstan.

The opening of the consulate will contribute to increasing the opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the economic, cultural, educational, tourist and other areas of mutual interest.
