GERB leader Boyko Borissov Tuesday slammed his power-sharing partner in the government, Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB), for what he sees as excessive foreign policy activity aiming to make CC-DB stand out. "Their wish to stand out has crossed all borders," Borissov said.

More specifically, his comment referred to the Ukraine visit of Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov and government ministers, and the Paris visit of Defence Minister Todor Tagarev. He criticized the former for gifting a sward to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy while what he had expected was aid, and the latter for going to France to do nothing more than "wave from Paris".

Borissov said that Bulgaria has "cabinet of foreign policy".

He also reiterated that Bulgaria has not yet implemented fully the decisions of Parliament and the Government for providing aid to Ukraine. Of the aid package approved in June 2023, the main equipment has just been sent , the upgrading of ammunition at VMZ has been done at 70% and the decision about the armoured vehicles is not yet implemented, Borissov said.
