Bulgarian Socialist Party leader Korneliya Ninova said Tuesday that her party has submitted a request to the National Assembly for an urgent hearing of Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov in connection with his statement that Bulgaria is ready to discuss a bilateral security agreement with Ukraine.

"In the context of the meeting of the European leaders in Paris, we read this as a readiness to provide troops," she explained.

French President Emmanuel Macron said on Monday that sending Western ground troops to Ukraine should not be ruled out in the future, but that at this stage "there is no consensus" for such a decision, France Press reported.
