In Kyiv Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov visited the Solomianskyi district which was destroyed by Russan shelling over the Christmas holidays, the government information service said on Facebook. On January 2 a ballistic missile struck an eight-storey building and the homes of 321 families sustained damages. A man and a woman died in the attack. As a result of attacks with rockets and drones nine districts have sustained fires and destruction.

The Prime Minister arrived in the Ukrainian capital on Monday morning to emphasize that his government stands firmly on the side of justice and will continue to defend the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Bulgaria is part of the efforts of the European Union, NATO and the international democratic community in support of Ukraine.

Bulgaria supports the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders, Denkov recalled before his departure. This country also supports the Ukrainian formula for a just, comprehensive and lasting peace, based on the principles of the UN Charter and international law, as well as all efforts for a world peace summit with the widest possible international support, the Council of Ministers stated.

In Kyiv, the Prime Minister is accompanied by Justice Minister Atanas Slavov, Energy Minister Rumen Radev, Environment Minister Julian Popov, Deputy Foreign Minister Tihomir Stoychev and Deputy Defence Minister Stanimir Georgiev, as well as Defence Chief Admiral Emil Eftimov.
