The importance of the strategic dialogue between Bulgaria and the United States was the focus of Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov's talks with representatives of the US Congress, the Council of Ministers said on its official Facebook page Saturday.
In Munich, the Bulgarian Prime Minister met with Speaker Emerita and former Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and House Foreign Affairs Committee member Gregory Meeks.
Prime Minister Denkov highlighted the excellent relations between Bulgaria and the United States and the potential for their development - both bilaterally and as NATO allies.
Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov also held talks with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati. The two discussed opportunities for intensifying cooperation in areas of bilateral interest.
Prime Minister Denkov held talks as part of the Munich Security Conference on Friday with the Assistant Secretary of the US Department of Homeland Security, Robert Silvers.
Nikolay Denkov and Deputy Prime Minister Mariya Gabriel also held a meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
