GERB Leader Borissov: We Are Very Far from Rotation

GERB leader Boyko Borissov told journalists in Parliament on Friday that “we are very far from a rotation”.

Borissov pointed to "the many stories from colleagues, who don't stop making statements and drawing red lines every day”, as the reason.

When asked what the determining factor for him would be to decide how his MPs should vote, he answered that this would be Nikolay Denkov and Mariya Gabriel’s proposal for the Foreign Ministry, for the other ministries, for the regional governors.

Borissov pointed out that has made huge compromises in the last months, but expects some kind of management culture. He noted that political forces with 30 MPs in Parliament cannot twist the arms of 69 MPs.

He said that currently “some people are learning to rule” and everything is at a standstill, but noted that he is optimistic that they may learn someday.

When asked about tentative date for the government rotation, March 6, the GERB leader indicated that it could be on March 10, it could be on the 15. Regarding Denkov's words that on March 6 he will go to Parliament and resign, Borisov asked: "What will happen if we don't vote on it?".

When asked if there is a deadline for the rotation to happen, Borisov answered "around March 6".
